Photography, painting and writing
My work begins where the orders through which we live and see lose their self-evidence.
The world in front of the camera is already arranged: through streets, thresholds, routines, images, institutions and inherited expectations. Photography does not simply record these conditions. It selects, orders and brings them into new relationships.
Painting, photography and writing follow the same question through different means: how meaning arises between a world already shaped, an image that gives it form and a viewer who never arrives without experience.

The orders we return to
The city is already in motion before we enter it.
City in Return follows the city as a human-made order that precedes us and is continually remade through movement, labour, exchange, interruption, repair and return.
Writing
The essays do not explain the photographs. They continue the same questions in another form: how images are seen, framed, interpreted, selected and carried forward.
